The people you don’t want in your life are the ones who take away your joy and make you feel bad.
But that’s easier said than done, which is why I’ve collected these simple ways to remove toxic people from your life.
Ever met a person who just drags you down?
Every time you talk to them you feel smaller and smaller.2
Well, don’t let that happen anymore with these five ways to remove toxic people from your life.
1. FIGURE OUT WHAT THE ISSUE IS
One of the best ways to remove toxic people from your life is to figure out what’s going on.
You need to understand the problem itself and determine if it has been going on for a long time, or if the problem has just occurred.
Then, you can decide how to confront the issue.
2. DETERMINE WHETHER IT IS WORTH GOING THROUGH
Is the relationship now, or has it ever been, worth the fighting or the stress?
Trust your heart and understand what you have to do for your overall well-being.
That might be letting go of the relationship.
3. IF YOU NEED TO GO, THEN GO
Understand that you have a limit, and your heart can only take so much.
A true friend is not someone that would treat you poorly to make you want to do something.2
You need to be able to separate yourself from a painful and toxic situation.
4. SET BOUNDARIES
Do you still want this person in your life after you have added some distance to your situation?
Be honest with yourself to know if you genuinely need to be done or if you can see a way to make it work.
5. PLENTY OF OTHERS
Other people in the world will treat you better than the person that did you wrong.
Please be aware of who you are and what you have to offer to the world.
